Limits at a glance¶
For: all users
The short list of the limits worth knowing about in Fluvial. Most of them exist to protect delivery: Fluvial sends transmittal emails on behalf of every account, so a sensible ceiling on any one account keeps mail from every account landing in inboxes rather than spam folders.
| Limit | Value | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Projects per account | Depends on your plan | Over-limit accounts keep full read access — see Billing. |
| Users per account | Unlimited | On every plan. |
| Documents / versions / storage | No fixed limit | Upload what the project needs; there is no document count or storage quota to manage. |
| Documents per transmittal | One version per document per transmittal | Two revisions of the same document can't travel on one transmittal. |
| Contacts per contact group | 50 | Split a larger distribution across two groups. |
| Recipients per transmittal | 100 | The to group plus the cc group, counted once each. No recipient needs a Fluvial account. |
| Daily email allowance | Depends on your plan | A rolling 24-hour count of every email Fluvial sends for you — transmittals, resends and user invitations. |
| Resending one transmittal | 5 per hour, 20 per day | Counted per transmittal, including the original issue. |
| Recipient portal links | No expiry | Revocable; invalid links show a generic "no longer valid" page. |
| Share links | 30-day expiry, revocable | Access via share links is logged as "Unknown". |
| Company logo | PNG or JPEG, ≤ 1 MiB | Falls back to the Fluvial logo if no logo is provided. |
Your daily email allowance¶
Every plan includes an allowance of emails per rolling 24 hours:
| Plan | Emails per 24 hours | In practice |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 100 | One full-size distribution a day |
| Basic | 1,000 | |
| Pro | 5,000 | |
| Enterprise | 20,000 |
One email means one recipient. A transmittal issued to a group of 30 uses 30 of your allowance; resending it to 5 more people uses another 5. Each user invitation uses one.
The window rolls continuously rather than resetting at midnight, so the allowance you used yesterday morning is free again this morning. There is no running counter to watch: most accounts never come close, so Fluvial stays out of the way and only speaks up when it matters — a draft transmittal with more recipients than the allowance left tells you so before you issue it, rather than failing partway through.
If you run out, issuing waits until enough of the window has rolled by. Nothing is lost — the draft transmittal stays exactly as it is.
Need a higher limit?¶
Every limit on this page is adjustable. If your work genuinely needs more than your plan allows — a large distribution list, a project handover that means issuing to hundreds of recipients in a day — email support@efficussoftware.com and tell us what you are trying to do. Raising an allowance for an account is a routine change and does not require moving to a different plan.
The one exception is contacts per contact group: rather than raising it, split the distribution across a second group. Groups are easier to keep accurate when they stay human-sized.
When sending is paused¶
Very occasionally Fluvial pauses sending for an account. This happens when recipients repeatedly mark that account's transmittals as spam — a signal that mail is going to people who did not expect it, which puts delivery at risk for every Fluvial account.
If sending is paused you will see a message saying so when you try to issue. Everything else keeps working: documents, the register, portal links already issued, and the in-app feedback button. Email support@efficussoftware.com and we will look into it with you.
